The people behind your protection.
A UK-based team with more than two decades of combined experience in enterprise security and IT service delivery.
Munitus is Latin for secure, protected, fortified. We took the name directly because security is our founding idea, not a service line we added later. Our tagline, Secured, Fortified and Protected, reflects that.
We exist because SMBs face the same threats as larger firms but cannot usually afford an in-house security team. Munitus gives businesses of 10 to 100 people access to the same calibre of monitoring, patching, and compliance support that a much larger IT department would provide.

Our team
Neil Sperring
Director of Cyber Security
Neil has spent more than 25 years building and securing enterprise network architecture, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance. He leads the design of every Cyber Essentials and Penetration Testing engagement Munitus delivers, making sure client environments meet NCSC-aligned standards rather than just passing a checklist.
Richard Knight
Director of Managed Services
Richard is a Microsoft Services and Service Delivery specialist who manages the Munitus Service Desk. He is responsible for the day to day reliability of the Power Stack, from patch cadence to the Power Portal, and for making sure clients get a consistent response whether they call, email, or raise a ticket.
James Hoad
Technical Architect
James has been with Munitus for 6 years and specialises in cyber security architecture. He works directly with clients moving through the Cyber Essentials to Penetration Testing journey, translating technical findings into practical remediation steps their teams can actually action.
How we work
- 1. Initial call to understand your environment and priorities.
- 2. Environment review, so any proposal reflects what you actually have in place.
- 3. Proposal covering scope, timeline, and cost.
- 4. Onboarding, handled by the same team who will support you day to day.
Support is UK-based. Anyone who will touch a client system is BPSS-checked before they start.
